Manufacturing of electrical switchgear equipment: stages of production
Electrical switchgear equipment is produced in several stages. The first stage — design — includes the development of sketches and technical drawings taking into account the customer’s requirements and safety standards. Then the materials and components are prepared.
Custom manufacturing of electrical panels is a process performed in various ways. Among them are guillotine cutting, bending, forming, and the CNC turret-punching method. Next, the components are assembled. Contactors, fuses, switches and relays are installed in accordance with the developed drawings.
After assembly, the QC stage is carried out — testing of the electrical panel. It is checked how well it meets the safety requirements and whether it operates correctly.
During the process, the electrical connections are checked. Another stage is checking the protection system against overload and other failures. After successfully passing all tests, the electrical panel is ready for installation at the facility.
What materials and components are used for the custom manufacturing of electrical panels?
When manufacturing electrical cabinets, we use durable and corrosion-resistant materials:
- cold-rolled galvanized steel (the zinc coating thickness is 275 g/m²);
- stainless steel;
- black metal (painted using the powder furnace-baking method).
In addition, we offer the manufacture of combined-type electrical cabinets, for which two types of materials are used. The configuration of each model includes switches, fuses, contactors, relays, as well as status indicators and status sensors.

Assembly and installation of switchgear equipment usually begin with preparing the panel enclosure and fastening the mounting rails for attaching the components. Then the main elements are installed. These include contactors, relays, fuses and various types of switches.
