LK Energy Group is an Odesa-based EPC contractor that has been building turnkey industrial solar power plants (PV plants) since 2005: from surveys and design to installation and commissioning, all in-house. We take on plants from tens of kW to several MW and work across Ukraine. Our own switchgear manufacturing and attested electro-lab ensure quality control at every stage. Submit a request and we'll size the plant and estimate the timeline for your site.

If there is an option to place panels on the ground or roof

For businesses and private homes with the option to place panels on the ground or roof, we install an SPP with a battery. Then the plant works regardless of whether the sun is shining.

And when there is no such option

For offices, private houses, and apartments that have no space to install panels, we install backup power systems — a combination of inverters and batteries. They are silent, unlike generators. The duration of autonomous operation depends on the consumption capacity and the capacity of the batteries*.

The consultant will ask you:

  • where the solar power plant needs to be built,
  • what task it should fulfil,
  • the annual energy consumption schedule,
  • whether you are ready to pay in full or want to take out a loan,
  • where a turnkey solar panel installation is possible: on the roof or the ground.

and will calculate the cost of the project and the plant’s payback period, as well as recommend lending programmes and grants if necessary.

    25 years

    The period of the plant's efficient operation. After this, the plant continues to work and you can use it as long as it generates energy at a sufficient level.

    We do everything to make sure the plant works efficiently

    We install an additional plant protection system to supplement the standard one. The thing is that the standard protection system is located inside the inverter, so if it breaks, the whole system has to be sent for repair. But the additional unit is located on the outside. And even if lightning strikes, the additional system will activate and the plant will keep working.

    We provide a guarantee. Depending on the inverter and battery models, the guarantee period is from 2 to 5 years, and up to 10 years for solar panels. We stay in touch throughout the panels’ service life and provide maintenance if anything goes wrong.

    We help with lending and grants

    We understand that building a solar power plant is a significant investment for a business, so we provide consultations on financing matters:

    Bank accreditation for SPP lending
    Bank accreditation for SPP lending

    We have obtained accreditation with PrivatBank and Ukrgasbank so that you can get a loan for the SPP we install. This means that these banks have vetted our company and are ready to finance the construction of solar power plants on preferential terms.

    We help communities apply for a grant

    We cooperate with the Ukrainian Association of Amalgamated Hromadas and consult with grant specialists. We help draw up the application, perform the calculations, and prepare the design documentation.

    We will install an SPP for free in exchange for buying back the generated energy
    We will install an SPP for free in exchange for buying back the generated energy

    This solution suits enterprises that want to order a turnkey SPP on a long instalment plan. Here is how it works:

    we install the SPP for you at our own expense,
    you buy all the energy the SPP generates at a discount from the usual tariff,
    after 10 years the plant becomes your property.

    Frequently asked questions

    Building for self-consumption allows you to reduce electricity costs, and selling the surpluses lets you earn additional income and take part in the development of renewable energy.

    To buy the right system, you first need to determine the total power consumption of the specific facility. Based on this data, the SPP is designed taking into account maximum productivity in the sunny season and in winter.

    The timeframe depends on the size and complexity of the project. But, on average, building a solar power plant takes from a few weeks to a few months.

    Not only the functionality but also the safety depends on the correctness of the installation and the quality of the equipment. That is why it is important to choose a proven company. LK-Energy is an example of such contractors. We employ experienced staff who can guarantee quality service.

    Types of solar power plants installed on a turnkey basis

    LK-Energy sells several types of power plants:

    • Large megawatt projects for commercial or industrial enterprises.
    • Small and medium energy systems for private households or small enterprises.
    • Small SPPs suitable for facilities with low electricity consumption.
    • Hybrid systems that combine panels with other energy sources, such as the common grid line, wind turbines, or diesel generators.

    Factors that affect the price of a turnkey solar panel installation

    The price of installing an SPP depends on several key factors. Firstly, it is the capacity of the system: the greater the required capacity, the higher the cost. Secondly, the choice of the type and quality of the panels, the inverter, and other system components has an impact.

    The specifics of the installation can also affect the cost. For example, the accessibility of the roof or the plot of land, the complexity of connecting to the grid, and the need to use additional structures. Company experts also single out additional factors. Among them are the cost of the installers’ labour, tax incentives and subsidies, and the infrastructural features of the location.

    What equipment is included in the supply package?

    The package includes the following components:

    • panels (photovoltaic cells);
    • inverters (single-phase or three-phase);
    • mounting structures (ground or roof fixings);
    • electrical cables and connectors;
    • monitoring and control systems;
    • grounding and protective devices;
    • backup power and batteries (if required).

    In addition, other components may be included in the calculation. For example, batteries for energy storage, as well as additional accessories for the safety and efficient operation of the SPP.

    Where are turnkey solar panels installed?

    The installation of a turnkey solar power plant can be carried out both on the roof of a building and on the ground, depending on the client’s requirements and the availability of a location for the panels. A turnkey solar power plant can also be installed on water surfaces. For example, on lakes and reservoirs, where floating platforms are mounted.

    What documents are required for the construction of a turnkey SPP?

    The company handles all matters related to preparing the documents for the construction of an SPP. Among them are:

    • a permit for the land plot and construction;
    • design documentation and technical specifications;
    • contracts with equipment suppliers and contractors;
    • a permit for connection to the electrical grid.

    Additionally, approvals from energy regulators, environmental impact assessments, and approvals from the owners of the buildings or land where the turnkey solar panel installation will be carried out may be required.

    A consultation with LK-Energy professionals will help in the process of collecting all the necessary documents and permits for the successful construction of an SPP. In conclusion, the managers provide the customer with a ready set of documentation.

    Construction of solar power plants: stages of the work

    The construction of a solar power plant goes through several stages:

    1. preparation and design;
    2. procurement and delivery of equipment;
    3. installation of panels and inverters;
    4. connection to the electrical grid and testing;
    5. obtaining the necessary permits and documents;
    6. commissioning and the start of electricity production.

    At the final stage, the construction involves the start-up and commissioning of the system. After this, staff training in maintenance and management takes place.

    Turnkey solar batteries: payback periods in Ukraine

    In Ukraine, the equipment usually pays for itself over a period of 5 to 7 years; it all depends on several factors. Among them are the size and characteristics of the system, its cost, as well as the intensity of operation. LK-Energy staff point out that an important aspect is also the weather and climatic conditions.

    Installation of turnkey solar power plants: timeframe for the work

    The timeframe for the work varies depending on various factors, such as the size and complexity of the project, the availability of materials, weather conditions, and permit requirements.

    Usually, building turnkey solar power plants requires from a few weeks to a few months. This includes the stages of planning, design, site preparation for installation, equipment installation, testing, and obtaining the necessary permits.
