Pole-mounted packaged transformer substations (KTPM)
Pole-mounted packaged transformer substations (KTPM) of the dead-end type for outdoor installation, with a power from 25 to 400 kVA for a voltage of 6 (10) kV, are designed for the reception, conversion and distribution of electric energy of three-phase alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz at a rated voltage of 6 (10) / 0.4 kV in power supply networks with a solidly earthed or isolated neutral on the low-voltage side.
The scope of application of the KTPM is power supply systems for urban, industrial and agricultural facilities, as well as construction sites and other low-power facilities of the national economy in areas with a temperate climate.
To ensure safety during operation and maintenance of the substation, the KTPM is installed on a pre-prepared foundation or metal structures at least 1600 mm high above the ground surface, with an equipped service platform (with railings and a ladder for climbing).
A switch with fuses or a circuit breaker on the input and circuit breakers on the outgoing lines can be installed in the low-voltage switchgear cabinet. By separate order, electricity metering and a street lighting panel are installed in the low-voltage switchgear cabinet.
Climatic version U1 according to GOST 15150-69.
The KTPM complies with the requirements of DSTU 3399-96.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A KTPM (Pole-mounted Packaged Transformer Substation) is equipment for receiving and distributing electricity that is mounted high above the ground on one or two poles. It is ideal for the power supply of farms, gardening associations, small settlements, filling stations and individual industrial facilities.
There are three main advantages: 1. Price: This is the cheapest type of substation on the market. 2. Safety: Since all the equipment is located at height, access by unauthorised persons to live parts is kept to a minimum. 3. Space saving: There is no need to allocate a land plot and build a fence - the substation occupies only the space around the pole.
Pole-mounted substations are designed for small and medium loads. The standard range of power ratings is: 25, 40, 63, 100, 160 and 250 kVA. If you need a higher power rating, you should consider kiosk-type substations (KTPn).
