Metal-clad switchgear for 35 kV
Metal-clad switchgear of the KRU-E-35 type is designed for receiving and distributing three-phase AC electrical energy at a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 35 kV in networks with an isolated neutral or a neutral earthed through an arc-suppression reactor.
It is used in switchgear (SG) for a voltage of 35 kV as part of packaged substations 110/35/6(10) kV or in separate indoor 35 kV switchgear units.
The 35 kV switchgear is assembled from individual KRU-E-35 cabinets, each of which houses the equipment of a single connection to the busbars of the 35 kV switchgear.
KRU-E-35 cabinets comply with TU U 27.1-40132794-001:2016.
KRU-E-35 cabinets are fitted with circuit breakers of the VR-35 type – manufactured by OJSC RZVA (Rivne), VD-4 – by ABB, and by other leading manufacturers of high-voltage equipment.
The metal-clad switchgear cabinet is a metal prefabricated frame-and-panel structure made of high-quality steel sheet on high-precision equipment, painted by powder coating, with high-voltage equipment built into it, as well as measuring, signalling, protection and control devices.
KRU-E-35 is manufactured for indoor installation in a permanent building, as well as for outdoor installation in an insulated modular block of the KRPZM type, equipped with heating, fire-extinguishing and ventilation systems, as well as fire and security alarms. One section of the KRPZM modular building is intended for the installation of one KRU-E-35 cabinet.
Each section of the modular building is a fully assembled block, which reduces the time and material costs of constructing the 35 kV switchgear.
Climatic design U3 to GOST 15150-69.
Protection rating of the cabinets – IP20 to DSTU EN 60529:2014.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The choice depends on the budget and the available space: - Air insulation (AIS): the classic solution. The cabinets are larger in size but significantly cheaper and easier to repair. Ideal for the reconstruction of old substations where there is plenty of space. - Gas insulation (GIS): sealed tanks with SF6 gas. Very compact (a cabinet can be only 600 mm wide), unaffected by dust and moisture, maintenance-free, but more expensive. Ideal for new compact substations in cities or at factories.
Yes, we use sealed stainless-steel tanks welded with a laser ("sealed for life"). Gas leakage is ruled out for the entire service life (30+ years). Each tank is fitted with a pressure gauge / density sensor that signals the gas condition, so personnel are always alerted.
A standard cubicle allows 1 or 2 cables to be connected per phase. If you have a high-power line and need to connect 3-4 cables in parallel, we add a special deepened cable compartment or use additional splitter adapters.
